"You produce your own reality." "You could have it all."
As the Class echoes numerous themes from the world's spiritual traditions and from modern psychology, what's perhaps many impressive about it's how unique it is. Only once you think that do you know what it is going to say, it brains down in certain totally different path, the one that appears to have no parallel in any training, ancient or modern.
Therefore, if you wish to hear the previous familiar truths, A Program in Wonders is not for you. On every site, it is trying to overturn the taken-for-granted assumptions on which your earth is built.

Equally, most of us attempt to style a confident image of ourselves, by adopting satisfying hearings and responsible behavior. Yet the Course says that picture we have so carefully constructed is actually an idol, a fake lord that people praise in place of our correct identity, which no picture may record: "You've number picture to be perceived." The Program claims that individuals don't need a polished image or specific features, for underneath these light points lies an ancient identification that's the same as everybody else's yet has unlimited worth.
Finally, we all believe that when there is a God, the world was developed by Him. The Program tells us of what most of us know, that the world is really a host to putting up with, illness, war, and death. Then it claims, "You but accuse Him of insanity, to think He created a global where such things appear to have reality. He's perhaps not mad. However only madness makes some sort of like this."
When you have actually assumed that there surely is anything profoundly incorrect with the world, that there surely is an insanity that's seeped in to every thing, including possibly your own center, then a Course could be for you. For it is in the middle of the bad information so it offers its good news.
It promises, "There's a way of residing on the planet that is maybe not here, though it seems to be." In this manner, the upsetting appearances of life no further govern our state of mind, nor determine our response to others. We are able to discover "calm even yet in the middle of the turmoil" of the world. We can react with open-handed generosity, even if others attempt to damage us. We can forget about days gone by even when their deposit lies all around us. We are able to walk through our time with "no cares and no concerns...no concern with future and number past regrets" even though we've failed to manifest living of our dreams.
Just how do we reach that unshakable peace? We get right down to business and set about retraining our minds acim podcast. We exercise viewing points differently. In this technique, the Class gives considerable help. It contains hundreds of exercises aimed at moving us in to a new perception-exercises in forgiveness, entering the current, viewing ourselves differently, and experiencing God.
Sure, the process requires energy (how did energy become therefore unpopular?). And yes, it claims to turn our internal world benefit down. However perhaps we've grown fed up with our inner earth, maybe even a bit tired of it. Probably we have noticed that as mercurial because it is, it is incredibly immune to actual change. Possibly, then, we are prepared to use anything new, or even to get anything off the shelf that we just believed was familiar. Probably A Program in Wonders is finished we have been seeking for.
